Festival Parade

The biggest carnival of its kind in the North East, the hugely popular South Tyneside Festival Parade takes place this year on Saturday 2 July.
An afternoon not be missed, and one of the highlights of the region's event calendar.
Join us as the parade makes its way from South Shields Town Hall in the Town Centre to Bents Park on South Shields Seafront, where there will be even more entertainment to enjoy.

A warm welcome for the return of proms in the park…. get ready to enjoy a whole host of classical performances and singers at an open-air concert in the Bents Park, South Shields. Music lovers are invited to bring along their picnics and deck chairs, flags and voices ready for the best sing song in South Tyneside.

Residents and visitors from across the UK who attended the South Tyneside Summer Festival 2022, are being given the chance to share their views and help shape future events.
Tell us about your experience and help South Tyneside Council (as organisers) understand what went right and what elements, if any, could be improved.
The feedback will be used to help shape future events in the borough, with one respondent being selected at random to receive £50 food and drink voucher as a thank you for taking part.
